The Pilates method was the creation of Joseph Pilates, a man years ahead of his time who developed a exercise method originally called contrology. His methods of exercising reflected his belief in the importance of the minds control over the body.
Pilates is a form of body conditioning aiming to address dysfunctional movement and muscular imbalances. The method has been adapted over the years still remaining true to Pilates Principles.
